This position is responsible for coordinating university-wide marketing initiatives and reports to the Vice President for University Relations. The selected applicant will serve as a member of the University Relations management team; provide oversight of all aspects of the University’s marketing and communications efforts; direct the daily activities of Marketing and Strategic Communication in support of an integrated marketing communications plan to achieve maximum impact with various constituencies; develop, implement, evaluate, and refine a comprehensive marketing communications initiative; provide direction and coordination for specific marketing initiatives for the university; develop and assess measurable goals and objectives that advance strategic and marketing goals; coordinate and provide oversight of work performed by marketing partners engaged to assist the university’s efforts; advise on pricing messages and strategies; plan the placement and positioning of the university’s marketing messages; create and manage opportunities for advancing the ASU product; plan and execute promotional activities for the university; aid in coordinating the university’s collegiate licensing functions; promote a consistent, professional , and future-oriented image for the university; develop and implement an advertising plan; plan, arrange and manage all publicity-related special events; support special events and initiatives that showcase the university’s programs and accomplishments and perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Marketing or a related filed with a minimum three years of related experience is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing preferred.
