Manages and implements the college’s strategy for communicating its mission, programs and services, and value to the public; works collaboratively with the campus communities to orchestrate and integrate the college’s marketing efforts. Promotes a consistent, recognizable, and positive college image. Maintains college-wide policy related to image, branding, and communications strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required; plus additional master’s degree credits
A minimum of 5-8 years successful, relevant experience in marketing and/or communications.
Understanding of graphic design and digital assets, radio and video broadcast production, advertising, direct mail, print production, new and social media
Demonstrated writing and editing skills and good aesthetic judgment
Firm grasp of inbound marketing concepts, techniques, and the ability to craft and implement strategies focused on inbound marketing goals
Demonstrated project management expertise, detail oriented and ability to manage several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Develops and facilitates marketing plans and multi-channeled campaigns across new and traditional media channels including print, broadcast, publications, web, email, social networks, mobile, video, etc.
Establishes marketing goals and measures effectiveness of communications using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
Gathers internal and external research information, analyzes data, and conducts and/or coordinates market research to determine most effective means to reach target populations.
Works collaboratively with IT ( ISS ) and Institutional Research to bridge the gap between inquiry and lead generation strategies to strategic enrollment goals.
Works closely with Admissions and enrollment management operations developing innovative and effective marketing strategies to support increased visibility and recruitment efforts for the college.
Collaborates with other college departments on marketing strategies and projects, and events advertisement (credit and non-credit); including maintenance of marketing toolkit.
Works with VP of Marketing and Communications to develop and manage marketing budget.
Maintains and manages the appropriate usage of the college’s overall stylistic appearance (logo, graphics, etc.) and established guidelines on all college-wide communications.
Ensures that all marketing compliance and copyright laws and guidelines are adhered to in practice and in all digital assets usage and college publications.
Develops conceptual ad layout and coordinates all college advertising (credit and non-credit) except Theatre at the Mount and human resource personnel advertising.
Oversees design and production of print and electronic college publications; including variable data printing, production schedules, and maintenance of appropriate marketing collateral.
Works with Media Services Department and Director of New Media to develop video and digital asset collateral for website and other college promotional purposes.
Writes, edits, proofreads and/or approves marketing communications, as required.
Develops and manages bids and contractual relationships with external vendors/contractors relative to advertising, publications, and direct mail; serves as primary liaison with external service providers for media buying
Represents Marketing and Communications Division on various college committees including the Enrollment Management Team, communications teams, and others as required.
Supervises the activities of applicable staff and conducts performance evaluations according to policies, and collective bargaining agreement if applicable.
