Direct the application and integration of information and instructional technology systems and services that support the academic and administrative strategies of University School. Oversee assessment of needs, prioritize purchase requests, distance learning projects, teleconferencing and newly emerging processes. In consultation with the Associate Head and school leaders, will develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate school-wide use of technology in an evolving environment to meet the school's mission and marketplace demands. Will coordinate the three University School Media Centers.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Identify academic technology and media goals for the University School in conjunction with school's mission and assess existing curriculum and programs to determine needs in coordination with the school Directors. 2. Coordinate the academic technology utilization plans with the Headmaster, Associate Head and Directors on a regular basis to best utilize evolving technology. 3. Enable technology and media integration into the teaching-learning and support process. 4. Actively participate as a leadership-level member on the school's 21st Century Skills Committee to implement a positive learning environment reflecting the school's mission. 5. Provide positive leadership to direct, guide, and train faculty, staff and administration in developing technology and media applications. 6. Communicate, consult and advise regularly with school leadership, faculty, and staff regarding technology and media utilization and integration into the classroom environment. 7. Advise the Headmaster, Associate Head, Directors, and staff regarding the development and implementation of technology and media in the school. 8. Work closely with senior level administrators and the Systems Administrator to interface academic and administrative systems where appropriate. 9. Oversee and coordinate media centers in three divisions, to include use and support of media and technology services. 10. Oversee and coordinate the training and implementation of technology and media projects and monitor their progress. 11. Be responsible for coordinating and implementing development of technology competency benchmarks for teachers and staff. 12. Provide support to educational staff in developing and implementing new curriculum and programs. 13. Investigate and research new academic technology and media programs to provide updated information to the school leaders. 14.Represent the University School to external constituencies i.e. NSU Technology Committee, Florida Independent Schools Technology Association, NSU Libraries, etc. 15. Assist the Headmaster and Associate Headmaster in various special projects as needed.

Major (if required):
Instructional Technologies of Education, Media/Library Services, or related field
1. Five (5) minimum experience in Education, teaching at elementary/secondary levels. 2. Three (3) years experience working with computer technology and media applications. 3. Three (3) years experience in administration, supervision or leadership of equivalent. 4. Experience implementing new technology and media in a large organization.
1. Experience in Educational Technology at an academic institution. 2. Corporate and foundation funding experience.
