Design workflows for the physician practices using the (EHR) system to support the quality performance standards from Medicare. These workflows must facilitate the capture of electronic data so the standard can be measured and reported back to Barnabas Health.
Design and develop standard reports on medical utilization and medical cost to meet the needs of medical management; provide accurate and actionable information for CMO, and other Sr. management.
Enable rapid-response and in-depth analyses to evaluate budget variance, to forecast medical expense trends, and to assess profitability for different product line, delivery system and specific member subpopulation.
Lead the methods development efforts and provide statistical tools and programming support for other functions.
Activities include statistical sampling for provider and member surveys, and statistical evaluation for performance measurement.
Interact with Care Management, Utilization Management and Case Management to provide data and analytical support for medical operations, including regular reports, ad hoc analyses, and special program evaluations.
The individual must have a background in Electronic Health Record Systems and must have strong working knowledge of physician EHR workflows and patient flow. Candidate will need to have a strong ability in applying financial, statistical and economic research methods to answer business questions; independent judgment and decision making capability to handle complex projects, set priorities, and meet project deadlines, knowledge and resourcefulness with regard to physician practice operations and data systems.
Microsoft Office, Excel, & other statistical package for analyzing large datasets. Expertise in Data mining. Ability to present complex information in an understandable way.
Technical expertise regarding database modeling and design.
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree preferred. 8+ years of Health Care experience in reporting, strategic planning, systems, or financial functions.
