Our Director of Nutrition directs Community Healthcare Network’s Nutrition Department, overseeing all program activities and working with other agency disciplines to provide coordinated care. Maintains positive relationships with other local, state and federal agencies providing nutrition services.
Some of the essential functions of our Director of Nutrition include:
Plans and assists in the development nutrition policies and procedures for all agency programs.
Develops protocols for patient nutrition screening and intervention.
Reviews, selects and develops nutrition education materials.
Identifies nutrition education resources and support services for patients and staff.
Attends professional conferences and updates agency program policy as necessary, to meet with current standards of care in the field of nutrition.
Plans, schedules, and conducts nutrition education presentations for the agency.
Attends and participates in trainings, outreach programs, informational sessions and clinic staff meetings as needed.
New York State Registered Dietitian/Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist.
Master’s degree in nutrition.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Five to seven years’ experience in nutrition in a community health setting.
