This Director of Product Management – Infrastructure & Core Technologies must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to maximize market opportunities by defining the core-technologies required to scale SignalDemand’s patented mathematical models and market leading technology. The position will provide the opportunity to drive the next-generation architecture for a top-tier predictive analytics and optimization company.
To accomplish this, the product manager will work closely with others, both inside and outside the company, including prospects, customers, other product managers, science, software engineering, professional services, solution consultants, and technical support. The product manager is responsible for managing the full product lifecycle; from strategic planning through product development and preparation for launch through working with SignalDemand employees and partners to ensure the products and associated services are successful in the marketplace. In addition, the product manager is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of marketing and go-to-market plans and activities to promote our products and services.
Detailed Responsibilities Include:
Engage with customers and prospects to interpret and understand customer and market requirements for SignalDemand’s core technologies
Translate market requirements into detailed functional specifications, building world class, market leading software solutions

Define, prioritize and schedule all requirements and features for SignalDemand’s core technologies
Work closely with and drive collaboration across engineering, science, services and solutions consulting to ensure the product strategy and requirements are well understood across disciplines; driving success in all phases of the product lifecycle including product definition, development, testing and support
Enable the efficient development of high-quality and relevant products by participating in release process activities, ensuring engineering properly understands and meets market and product requirements
Ensure that effective product training, documentation and information is provided to services, science, support, and solutions consulting
Help to define, produce and maintain internal resources, including product demos, competitive information, presentations, descriptions of features and benefits, position papers (or white papers) and other material as necessary
Support the development of relevant Product Marketing go-to-market and launch plans and assisting in launch activities as necessary

The Director of Product Management – Infrastructure & Core Technologies will be responsible for the above for SignalDemand’s core technologies and infrastructure which includes:
The mathematical models and algorithms underpinning SignalDemand’s software
The application configuration toolset used by professional services and partners to configure and deploy SignalDemand’s solutions
The data interfaces, and processing used to collect the combination of supply, demand and market data that is used to drive the SignalDemand models and application
The business intelligence (BI) platform providing the services and science teams easy access to analyze the rich customer dataset supporting the application as well as define customer-specific analytics

7+ years defining software market, functional and/or technical specifications
Some understanding of price and supply optimization concepts and toolsets; deep understanding and demonstrated experience strongly preferred
Strong communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in technical terms via presentation and written form
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and reliably get things done
Solid understanding of software technologies, including experience building solutions on a SaaS platform

Experience defining products which leverage optimization models (GAMS or AMPL), analysis packages (R, MatLab, Mathematica, etc.) or mathematical modeling languages
Experience defining and integrating 3rd party BI platforms (MicroStrategy, Cognos, QlikTech, etc.)

• Master's Degree in Business/Management, Operations Research, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
