We seek an industry expert who can effectively lead in the definition, and design of new applications and enhancements to a suite of pharmacy technology products, as well as support the implementation and deployment phases of these new product lines. Responsible for conceptualizing and implementing electronic prescribing solutions, the Director will evaluate new product line opportunities via market research, competitive analysis, industry trends, and business factors in order to make product recommendations and define key changes to ensure continued market leadership. This position requires close interaction with all involved in product development lifecycle.
-Full P&L for Product Line ensuring product achieves margin/profit objectives.
-Develop and manage pricing structures to meet revenue goals.
-Conduct regular customer and market research with prospects and clients.
-Oversee and assess product positioning, competitive analysis, trade-off analysis, as well as product launches.
-Define a specific and well planned long term product roadmap
-Establish strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to ensure usability, adoption, and satisfaction.
-Assist in development of product strategy and adjacency analysis to expand product opportunities and revenue growth.
-Makes complex decisions where multi-functional analysis of the market and industry situations requires evaluation of known and unknown factors in a time-sensitive manner.
-Preparation of business requirement documents, along with business use cases and workflows, for hand-over to business analysts and product development (IT) team.
-Establish consistent and effective communication channels with key business partners (internal and external)
-Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Support to gather specification and develop requirements.
-Consistently meet product release timelines to insure customer satisfaction and meet market demands
-Bachelors degree in Business Management or Technology is required and or equivalent work experience, MBA preferred
-Proven track record of success in managing an operational team and/or business function of a medium size team (10 + employees)
-Minimum 10 years Product Management leadership experience in technology environment overseeing full life cycle product management.
-Experience developing a detailed 5 year product roadmap required
-Solid understanding of Business Intelligence, reporting architecture, and interface design.
-Prior experience with competitive analysis, as well as launching, conceptualizing, expanding, and repositioning product lines.
-Must have experience with Agile development framework (or equivalent) to ensure creation and support of clinical content
-Must be technically astute and have strong organizational skills to oversee complex products.
