Tagged is looking for an exceptional Senior Marketing Manager, Contact Strategy. In this key role, you will drive the strategy, execution and analysis of the user lifecycle marketing programs. With your expert level knowledge and creativity, you will work closely with our product, customer experience and marketing teams to create compelling user communications, effective landing pages, and other online messaging for our diverse audience of users, with the goal to increase conversion, engagement and loyalty. In addition, you will focus on developing new contact strategies and long term planning to continually improve open, click thru, and repeat rates; driving growth, retention and acquisition.
Develop, own and implement our customer contact strategy to drive click through, engagement, retention and loyalty
Drive the email execution of campaigns
Develop annual email revenue and expense budgets and track performance against targets
Partner with marketing and product to design email and communication templates, develop images, content, promos, and landing pages for email marketing campaigns
Develop quality, full lifecycle programs that are relevant and appealing to target audience
Design outreach strategy that provides constant contact to customers without becoming annoying, overwhelming or boring
Champion best practices with key stakeholders ensuring vested interest in the success of marketing campaigns
Develop and analyze key marketing metrics to ensure campaigns are meeting revenue and acquisition goals
Analyze back-end data of email campaigns and make recommendations for enhancing their effectiveness
Drive and manage our SEO/SEM strategy
Track the competitive landscape, understand target markets/defines segments and develop market insights that inform product strategies and go-to-market activities.
Define and execute a strategy to maximize revenue through online communication.
Coordinate contact strategies with product launches
Develop strategic data-driven customer email programs and merchandising framework
Define strategic direction and market requirements for new features and products.
Develop a business case (including ROI) and financial justification for new service offerings and enhancements.
Utilize aggressive testing to maximize campaign performance and isolated campaign driver effectiveness.
Conduct research and competitive analysis (market size, competitive benchmarks, trends, opportunities, customer needs and expectations).
Manage current vendors and source new third-party relationships that will help our marketing channels grow
Prioritizing emails based on revenue potential and overall corporate strategy, as well as resource allocation
Overseeing effective customer segmentation and highly persuasive creative/offers driven by customer insight and email best practices
Partnering effectively with cross-functional teams to drive successful campaign execution—including reporting/analysis, brand/business leaders, web development, etc.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and reducing execution complexity
Bachelor’s degree in social discovery/social networking background/understandings.
3-5 years of experience building and implementing successful email marketing programs
3-5 years of experience in marketing and e-commerce analyses
Attention to detail with the ability to execute projects from beginning to end
Experience using data to develop actionable insights
Expert level knowledge/experience with HTML and email marketing tools
Expert knowledge of email best practices including targeted lists, subject lines, messaging; deliverability and CAN-SPAM/anti-spam legislation
Experience working with ESPs, specifically building business requirements for list segmentation, workflows and triggered events.
Strong analytic skills, including experience with quantitative test design, customer segmentation, tracking results and interpreting key learning’s.
Solid knowledge of Internet technology and applications, including a broad understanding of email and database marketing infrastructures and the technologies required.
Excellent leadership skills and ability to directly communicate and participate in cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint and strong analytical skills
Intermediate knowledge of SQL
