Gaming Hospitality Executive has been retained to assist a company identify a candidate with experience in planning, development, implementation and administration of Employee Benefit programs, including Health & Welfare plans, Retirement Benefits and Financial Benefits.Job description for the position of HR Benefits Administrator is as follows: Responsible for assisting in the administration of various employee benefit plans such as life, health, dental, and disability insurances, 401(k) plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence Responsible for enrolling new employees in benefit plans & performs complete audit. Processes status changes and reviews claims only if unresolved at the carrier level. Processes open enrollment benefit plan transfers. Maintains vendor contact to investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations. Provides vendors appropriate documentation for life, pension, and disability benefits claims. Assists in preparing materials and in presenting benefit plan changes to employees. Issues annual individual summary of benefits to employees. Maintains employee benefit files and other record keeping. Proficient use of payroll system to set up appropriate deductions and client billings Produces eligibility notification to all benefit eligible employees while tracking and performing follow-up Full COBRA administration - initial notifications, COBRA notices, billing, tracking Provides excellent customer service. Research coverage issues/discrepancies as required Performs complete benefit set-up at client level and perform appropriate audit. Complies with Federal benefit data requests. Oversees process for the annual 5500 tax filings. Coordinates timing of internal e-Filing. Prepares bi-weekly 401(k)/MPP contributions funding by reconciling pension files with payroll report. Researches and provides explanation for adjustments. Coordinates annual pension audit with external auditors, gathering data, creating spreadsheets, generating confirmation letters. Prepares bi-weekly HSA contributions. Assists with budget development, monthly accruals and variance reporting.
The following qualifications are required for the HR Benefits Administrator position: A Bachelor degree required; relevant experience and/or CEBS of CBP certification in specialized HR function may be substituted for degree, when appropriate. A minimum of six years' experience working in HR required; workers compensation, self- insurance administration, compensation and benefits experience required. Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, required. Prior financial or budgetary experience preferred.CEBS, PHR, SPHR, or CBP certification preferred. Bilingual preferred. Must have demonstrated technical knowledge of and exposure to design, development and administration of benefit programs – required.
