POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Director of Public Relations & Social Media will have front-line, hands-on responsibility for establishing Affinnova as THE disruptive thought leader in innovation technology. This is an extraordinary role for someone who wants to make a major impact on a company and fast track their career. Specifically, you will:

Create and manage campaigns and long-term propriety programs that drive business results and break through the clutter
Integrate traditional, online and social media activities as well as search engine optimization strategies to drive systemic coverage
Run Affinnova’s blog and related social activities including responsibility for motivating employee generated content as well as authoring your own material
Develop stories that provide value to writers and readers, e.g., data insights, customer results, product news, POV’s, business practices and milestones
Pitch and educate key media contacts across the spectrum of categories we are relevant to, e.g., product development, design, marketing, analytics and software
Cultivate relationships and gain working knowledge of the ecosystem of journalists, bloggers, analysts, influencers and other relevant stakeholders
Evaluate results of marketing activities and manage budget

REPORTS TO
This position reports to the SVP of Marketing (who reports to the CEO) as part of our marketing and creative team and is supported by writing & content development, graphic design and admin.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

7 year minimum experience in B2B public relations and social media
Proven track record of success in the origination and implementation of creative, effective PR and social media initiatives
Exceptional abilities to drive and develop content
Demonstrated passion for PR and news process
Must be able to hit the ground running
Written fluency in German, French or Spanish highly valued

EDUCATION

Undergraduate degree in Journalism or related field from a top tier institution
High academic achievement (GPA – 3.5+)
