The Director of Quality Improvement is responsible for developing and administering the Walden Behavioral Care quality improvement program in accordance with Joint Commission, regulatory, and contractual requirements. The Director is responsible for organizing and promoting quality improvement efforts across the continuum of care; enabling Walden to fulfill its responsibilities to patients, professionals, support staff, and the community through continuous and systematic measurement, assessment and improvement of its systems and processes; and developing and executing a Quality Improvement Program to provide the data, structure and organizational resources that is required. Additionally, the Director is responsible for acting as the liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality system and regulatory compliance and establishing procedures for maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Advanced degree in a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health management, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance in a mental health setting, preferably in an eating disorder and/or inpatient psychiatric setting. Must have strong clinical, organizational and communication skills; ability to function well in a fast paced mental health/eating disorder environment and to collaborate with medical, nursing and multidisciplinary treatment teams.
Communication, both verbal and written; organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities; project management; data management, i.e., identify elements to track, organize and analyze; program development including the ability to work effectively with interdepartmental teams.
