Director of Real Estate, Construction & Maintenance
The Director of Real Estate, Construction & Maintenance is a key player in the growth and overall business development at Coborn’s, Incorporated. The primary focus of the position is to assist in the development, implementation and oversight of the real estate plan. This individual is responsible for gathering market analyses, assisting in site selection, and participating in negotiations for new and existing real estate opportunities.
The Director of Real Estate, Construction &Maintenance must be an excellent real estate transaction leader with a strong track record across leasing as well as acquisitions/divestitures. Previous corporate real estate experience is essential, including facilities management experience. Individuals must come from a high-volume leasing environment with the ability to simultaneously process multiple transactions and possess a high degree of financial acumen. It is desirable that the individual be knowledgeable in financing options and tax strategies related to the disposition of properties. Experience buying/selling properties and buildings is also valuable.
This individual must fit the team-oriented culture of the company and be an excellent communicator. The duties of the position will require frequent interaction with facilities planning and management and must have an appreciation for the team mentality required for strong cooperation with this area. This individual must be able to strike the right balance between competitive deal structures and achieving corporate goals.
This individual will provide real estate expertise through consultation and/or service to the organization regarding real estate, property matters, and municipal relations relating thereto. He/she will be responsible for arranging acquisitions, divestitures and leasing of company real estate property and facilities. This individual will also provideoversight and guidance to residential property management operations to include the management and maintenance of proper documentation, landlord/tenant relationships and all aspects of compliance.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college. MBA, JD, CFA or advanced degree in real estate strongly preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Real Estate. Superior verbal communication skills with the ability to interact well in a diverse community and among senior management.Must be a team player who understands the importance of the role as a key support function to the operating team and the Company.Must have strong financial modeling experience.Must have strong analytical and organizational skills. Flexibility to travel as needed.
