The Director, Restaurant Training and Development position will be located in our Irvine, CA Restaurant Support Center and will play an instrumental role in ensuring our Mission and Vision come to life in all training materials as well as how we execute learning. S/he will also play a key role in building organization and team capability to ensure we have a solid bench for future growth and initiatives. The successful candidate will lead a team of training professionals to effectively execute programs and partners with Operations to assess training needs and identify opportunities to develop and improve training programs. The Director will be part of the overall People Strategy that encompasses the 5Rs - Recruit, Ripen, Recognize, Reward and Retain † and delivers activities designed to make People Capabilities a shining strength for Mimi†s and a point of differentiation amongst our competitors. •Designs, develops and implements well-documented, effective learning experiences for designated positions including performing needs assessments, creating learning objectives, and measuring the effectiveness of training techniques and delivery.•Maximizes the use of available resources and technologies which entails finding and implementing best in class delivery platforms and methods, vendor management and consistent execution of training delivered by the Training team.•Responsible for the delivery, evaluation and follow-up on personal growth, development and learning experiences. •Through partnership with Director, People (Human Resources), carries out cross-functional projects and processes related to overall people development, processes and other 5R initiatives throughout the organization. •Leads the Training Team in accordance with the organization†s policies and applicable laws.
