Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, and based at the corporate office in Palatine, IL, this key management position will provide leadership to the Regional and Agency Directors in the development of new home care/personal care business through organic census growth. The focus of this position will be driving and executing an effective business development program for the Company’s home care operations, with high emphasis on accelerating the conversion of the business to a sales organization.

Drive increased organic home care/personal care census growth by developing and implementing national and regional strategic objectives and initiatives for business development. Direct and develop sales expectations for each region, and ensure that all Regional Directors have the necessary sales training and business development tools. Monitor the business development and sales activities in each region, and provide direction and reinforcement to achieve maximum results.
Establish and maintain relationships with major referral sources and important contract agency representatives in each region, and meet, on a regular basis, to resolve problems, promote business, and assure compliance with sales program requirements. Direct and participate in the establishment of community contacts and the development of relationships to promote community education and resources.
Provide input in the budgeting process, and in the establishment of annual financial and census growth objectives. Monitor and approve all sales and marketing expenditures to assure fiscal accountability and budget compliance.
Drive program planning, development and communication of sales policies and practices, and monitor branch level adherence to programs through the Regional Directors.
Participate in developing sales, marketing and public information materials to promote and support census growth.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field of study. Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of five years of sales experience in healthcare services is required; home & community based services experience is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and develop business through a managed sales and marketing effort, and building an effective sales function by spending the majority of his/her time in the field, including in front of customers.
National or regional management experience in a large, fast-paced, multi-site/multi-state, results-driven organization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Passionate, energetic, tenacious and resolute, with a high sense of urgency and a strong drive to produce results.
