Job Requirements
The perfect candidate must possess the following requirements:
At least 3-5 years of hotel sales experience
Experience in selling to both Group and Corporate transient segments
Proven track record of developing and maintaining long term, business relationships
Be able to effectively participate in applicable industry trade shows and community networking events
Experience in developing traditional marketing initiatives as well as digital marketing and third party reservation channels
Ability to work with the Cambria brand to maximize all brand sales tools
Understanding of Revenue Management and Yield practices/strategies
Strong communication and motivational skills with an ability to work in a team environment
Candidate should be highly organized and able to execute all initiatives quickly and within deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook and Digital Marketing
Knowledge of the White Plains and Westchester County Markets is a plus
Pre-opening hotel experience is a plus

Job Description
Meyer Jabara Hotels in seeking an experienced, career-minded sales and marketing professional to open our new Cambria Suites White Plains hotel (Opening Sept 2013). This dynamic individual must love to sell and will be directly responsible for securing new accounts with a focus on Corporate and Social Groups and Business Transient accounts. The Director of Sales will also be highly visible in the White Plains local market in order to effectively introduce the Cambria brand to the Market while maximizing profitability and championing superior service levels.
Job Responsibilities
The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key customers in order to achieve revenue goals. In addition to being directly responsible for their own base of group and transient accounts, the Director of Sales will lead the Marketing efforts of the hotel, working closely with the General Manager and Regional Revenue Manager while maximizing all applicable Brand revenue generation tools. They will also be responsible for generating catering revenue in the 1,200 square feet of space
while being an active participant in all community networking opportunities, trade shows and sales blitz implementation. The Director of Sales will work closely with the General Manager to develop an on-going, proactive Business Plan to include budget preparation and will also be expected to be a leader in terms of customer service and developing new ideas to differentiate the guest experience.
