The Director of Sales will be responsible for managing and developing an industry leading team of Regional Managers & Market Managers who interact on a daily basis with our 2,000+ travel suppliers. This team of 20+ is responsible for establishing and fostering superior partner relationships with our valuable travel providers. You will provide the strategy, leadership and roadmap to do so. In addition the successful candidate will manage the key chain and corporate relationships for travel groups with global product coverage. A strong knowledge of account management, sales and inventory/revenue management is preferred along with strong management and negotiation skills. Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with Regional Managers and their Market Managers to ensure Jetsetter rates & availability in the flash, merchant and JS Now platforms are superior to the competition and in line with our member’s needs.
  • Complete quarterly sales forecasts along with incentive plan targets for all team members while also communicating weekly status updates on performance against forecast, key initiatives and updates.
  • Maintain, update and execute the strategic vision of the sales division.
  • Meet or exceed revenue and margin goals for Jetsetter (by month and quarter) by leading the sales team in negotiating the best inventory, rates and market discount possible.
Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of and experience with the hospitality industry preferred • 6-10 years experience in managing sales teams, contracting, market management, account management or sales experience • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategies that will achieve partner and company goals • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to articulate ideas clearly and appropriately based on the audience • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly • Ability to influence internal and external decision makers
