Summary
Incumbent will be charged with setting strategic direction for Peerless Food Equipment’s domestic and international Sales/Sales Support organizations . In addition, the selected candidate will be a key member of the Peerless Food Equipment Leadership Team .
Responsibilities
Responsible for driving the overall performance of the Sales/Sales Support organizations.
Accountable for meeting Sales revenue growth, profitability and expense targets.
Leads, directs, schedules and motivates Sales/Sales Support employees to meet business and customer expectations.
Responsible for the ongoing training and development of Sales/Sales Support employees to ensure all required skill are present to meet current and future business needs.
Works collaboratively with Business Development Manager to develop Sales Programs to leverage customer relationships and then executes said programs.
Collaborates with manufacturing, purchasing, engineering and service departments to ensure timely and correct completion of customer needs.
Participate in machine design/order reviews to ensure accuracy of actions and outcomes.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Business Administration, Marketing or Engineering with 8+ years progressive sales experience, with a minimum of three (3) years managing a sales team both domestic and internationally.
Strong customer relations, interpersonal and communication (written, verbal and listening) skills.
Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to resolve wide and varied situations covering all aspects of the business, and be able to implement concrete recommendations and decisions regarding these matters.
Excellent negotiation skills a must, including contract negotiation.
Strong organizational skills.
Understand and be able to fully utilize all computer-related software packages (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CRM system such as SalesLogix, etc.) and additional technologies such as smart phones.
Ability to manage a P&L; financial acumen.
Ability to learn ERP system and optimize it to meet Sales business objectives.
Ability to learn and communicate technical (mechanical and electrical) aspects of products.
Ability to effectively interface with diverse internal and external customers.
Ability to maintain composure in a very diverse and dynamic environment.
Ability to understand and communicate effectively with multiple cultures .
25% to 50% domestic and international travel with some trips 10-21 days in duration; regularly exposed to diverse bakery environments when visiting customers.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Prior capital equipment sales experience.
Knowledge of the wholesale baking industry.
Multilingual desired.
