The Director of Security directs and oversees the casinos security department operation. Responsible for the overall safety of the Tribe, Guests, and Team Members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
Responsible for investigation of unusual or suspicious activities, produces reports and documentation as required, maintain security level to safeguard Casino assets, Guests and Team Members.
Works with department to design and conduct highly sensitive investigations to facilitate fact-finding probe into potentially illegal or inappropriate activities.
Establishes implements and monitors emergency procedures to ensure prompt safe handling of emergencies.
Hires, motivates, evaluates and directs management and other staff in order to ensure team members receive adequate guidance to achieve established department objectives; responsible for morale of department and its team members through quality supervision and training.
Establishes policies/procedures and training for all Security personnel and team members pertaining to emergency procedures.
Reviews incident reports and daily logs.
Assists management in enforcement of policies and procedures.
Advises Security Department personnel of changes in policy, procedure, or notices relating to their duties.
Leads Safety Committee.
Develops proposed department's budget and adheres to approved budget.
Develops and implements training program for Security Department personnel.
Works with Surveillance and other departments with regard to undesirable patrons, gaming protection, and substance abuse, in order to protect Guests, Team Members and the Tribal assets.
