Reporting to the Vice President of Sales of AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions, the Director of Strategic Alliances is responsible for developing strategic relationships with business partners to expand AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions sales channels with the goal of driving increased sales and revenue. This position owns the partnering strategies and relationship development with partner companies and also aligns partner product integrations with AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions product road map.
Develop and implement overall AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions alliance partnering strategy and plans.
Coordinate with the AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions sales team so that sales opportunities involving the partners are pursued, proposed and closed.
Drive outcomes on integration solutions as well as developing, structuring and driving joint solutions and technology road maps.
Deliver and coordinate road maps between AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions and our partners to ensure differentiation, technology adoption and enhancement with the partner’s technologies
Assist the VP of Sales and the Chief Commercial Officer of AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions to initiate the B2B alliances to create and drive incremental revenue through the alliances
The point person and expert within AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions when engaging with alliance partners
Evangelize AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions within the alliance organization and drive engagement at an executive, marketing and sales level within target markets segments
Develop, in conjunction with each alliance partner, an overall business plan for delivering the target within target market segments, the plan which will roll up to be part of the AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions overall Business Plan
Work with the AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions sales organization to minimize and manage conflict that occurs between the Alliances and direct sales. Ensure that Alliances conform to their respective contracts
Work with the AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions marketing team in conjunction with the Alliances to plan, develop and deliver AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions participation in the Alliances demand generation marketing activities across the target market segments
BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business or similar discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of five years experience with Enterprise, large corporation sales
Strong communication and presentation skills
Previous business development experience conveying and developing as well as conceiving and developing is required
Demonstrated success in presenting and working with senior management internal and external to the organization
Previous experience resolving and leading the resolution of conflict within business issues
