We are looking for a dynamic, highly skilled, sales business development professional, with experience in developing, selling and executing multi-platform partnerships. This individual will be asked to secure strategic, revenue-generating opportunities with endemic & non-endemic partners. The right candidate must be passionate about LearnVest’s mission and act as a brand evangelist in the marketplace.

Assist the VP of Business Development & Sales in the evaluation of opportunities to develop and sell-through new programs

Develop, manage, and execute on a pipeline of accounts with a focus on strategic alliances targeting revenue, distribution, and brand awareness

Responsible for structuring term sheets, negotiating contract terms, and finalizing agreements with large Fortune 100 companies

Assess incoming partnership opportunities by collaborating with internal stakeholders (including the CEO and the various technology, product, and content leads) to determine fit & alignment with the company’s core strategy

Work closely with existing clients to manage the partnership and ensure deliverables

Engage on a regular basis across the business development & sales team to identify ways to drive towards business goals

Expand contacts with key client executives and maintain strong post-engagement relationships introducing new opportunities accordingly

Manage account profitability by negotiating statements of work, ensuring work is delivered on budget

Participate in strategic development of new business, from setting account strategy & revenue forecast to managing of the partnership for successful implementation

Perform in accordance with quarterly & annual revenue goals

The right candidate:
Is capable of gathering internal support as a ‘voice of the customer’ across the company

Flourishes in start-up / early stage company environment

Is results-oriented, articulate, persuasive, passionate, and adaptable

Has the ability to be nimble and work in a fast changing environment

Possesses strong presentation, verbal and written skills as well as proven ability to develop well-written documents and presentations

Has a proven track record and experience in developing new business relationships

Is seasoned in a client services organization, including work with direct clients or agencies

Has the ability to interact with clients of all levels and industry backgrounds (from the CEO level to executive management leads)

Possess a minimum of BA / BS degree from a top-tier university

MBA a plus, but not required

5+ years of previous experience in a strategic sales or business development role

Prior experience in financial services industry a plus

Ability to manage the successful execution of a sales strategy

Ability to meet and exceed growth oriented revenue goals

Able to gain the confidence of customer executives and senior management team

Willingness to travel when required
