LifeWorks is looking for a creative and forward thinking IT Director to support the mission of the Agency through technology.

This position is a great opportunity to enhance project management and contract management skills as well as draw from the knowledge of our outside technology consultants to increase technology infrastructure, new developments and network management.

DUTIES

Under limited supervision, provides direction and oversight of Information Technology for the Agency and its programs, and facilitates the integration of Technology within Agency services. This is a director-level position involved in the establishment of criteria, formulation and assessment of program specific and agency wide projects and initiatives, and investigation or analysis of a variety of unusual conditions, problems, or questions as they relate to technology.
  • Negotiates and manages contracts and relationships with third party Technology vendors and consultants.
  • Interfaces with management and staff on a regular and consistent basis to analyze current capacity and future requirements in order to propose appropriate technology solutions.
  • Stays abreast of technology trends and best practices in order to evaluate and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors technology policies and controls to ensure legal and regulatory compliance as well as hardware, software, and data security and control.
  • Develops, maintains, and tests a technology disaster plan that aligns with the Agency disaster plan.
  • Updates and maintains a current hardware and software physical inventory.
  • Appropriately disposes of outdated hardware and software according to agency policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides leadership for planning the agency's future technological needs and strategies as an integral part of the agency's strategic planning process.
  • Develops and manages the Technology operating and capital budget in consultation with the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Audits Technology use to ensure and enforce compliance with security, confidentiality, agency policy and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Technology Related Associates Degree or equivalent Certification; and
  • 5+ years' experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED
Experience with a non-profit agency, Bachelors in Technology related Field, 10+ years of related experience
