POSITION OVERVIEWA rapidly growing, entrepreneurial technology company, Alarm.com is seeking a results-oriented candidate with proven experience to become the Director of Training for the Alarm.com Academy. The Director of Training will be responsible for the success of Alarm.coms reseller training to thousands of organizations. This is a strategic role that is critical to the success of Alarm.coms Authorized Dealer Program. The successful candidate will have experience in leading a technology-oriented reseller channel training and certification program. RESPONSBILITIESThe Director of Trainings primary job responsibilities will include: Oversee the strategy and implementation of Alarm.coms Authorized Dealer Training Program Develop and manage the Alarm.com Academy Dealer Certification Program Oversee the planning and execution of onsite and regional training events Develop the curriculum plan for both onsite and online dealer training Ensure the quality and consistency of all Dealer training material including accredited content for continue education units (CEUs) Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Management, Customer Support and Sales to ensure success of the program Manage and work with third party organizations to support training efforts, including the development and maintenance of online training content Oversee and coordinate internal employee training initiatives, as needed
BS or BA 10+ years experience in providing and/or overseeing technical training program for reseller channels Exceptional written and verbal communication skills -- candidate must be an effective communicator to be considered Experience working with a Learning Management Systems (LMS) Experience in overseeing the development and maintenance of online training content Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines Ability to lead and execute multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Effective at driving cross team collaboration Proven track record of delivering exceptional results Enthusiastic about consumer technologies and ability to be well-versed in all Alarm.com products and services Experience managing and mentoring employees Highly motivated, self starter with ability to work independently Team player with a positive can-do attitude Exceptional attention to detail Willingness to travel up to 25% of time
