Provide leadership and direction for University Services to include dining, bookstore, transit, and postal operations; Selu Conservancy; and Conference Services.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of higher education auxiliary business operations, financial principles and procurement practices; experience managing higher education auxiliary operations such as dining, bookstore, conference services, postal, transit etc. and knowledge of auxiliary industry best practices. Demonstrated knowledge of supervisory practices and ability to administer agency programs through a professional staff; considerable knowledge of broad managerial or business training including a very good understanding of basic financial information; ability to read, analyze, interpret and take action on contractual agreements and regulations, financial reports, and industry best practices; ability to develop, implement and interpret policies and procedures; excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated experience developing and giving presentations; and knowledge of automated financial accounting systems and Microsoft Office software. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to and facilitate change, and to work independently or as part of a team.
Preference given for progressive years of senior management experience in a major administrative organization and demonstrated ability to supervise a large staff. Demonstrated knowledge of financial analysis tools, benchmarking practices and trend monitoring. Knowledge of eVA, Banner, Microsoft Office suite, pivot tables, Cobblestone, and/or relational databases.
