We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Dispatcher with our Geismar Plant Facility located in Geismar, Louisiana. Essential Job Duties : Arrange truck load shipments at Geismar to meet customer expectation and in accordance with the labor contract dispatch rules, (may dispatch for other locations as needed). Arrange truck load shipments using common carriers in a manner that meets the customer needs Will interact with customer service and Wichita dispatch in a courteous manner to ensure that customer deliveries are completed on time. Will handle incoming phone calls, ensuring that any action necessary to handle the calls are completed Review driver trip reports, electronic DOT logs and PeopleNet data for accuracy and report discrepancies to management Coordinate and direct the activities for any terminal drivers to ensure that trailers are loaded for on-time departure *LI-KY1 Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent 3 years experience required Ability to read, speak, and write (legible) English Excellent organization skills Skilled in the use of computers Ability to perform simple math functions such as addition, subtraction, and calculation involving fractions Work a day shift schedule, and be available for overtime Additional Desired Qualifications Transportation/Trucking experience Oxy is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V
