About the Distribution Compliance Manager Opportunity
The Distribution Compliance Manager will be responsible for monitoring third party partner products and activities to ensure that they meet stringent best practice guidelines. This person will work within cross functional teams (Executives, Product Planning, Sr. Managers, Business Development/Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Legal) and will provide expert input on compliance strategy, competitive landscape, technological trends, product requirements and business priorities.
You will be expected to collaborate with the Business Development Managers on strategies for acquiring and approving new business, and be the compliance advocate when interfacing with customers. Additionally, you will be expected to provide on-going compliance oversight for existing third party partnerships to ensure guidelines are being followed.
This position will be responsible for understanding market trends so that newly emerging distribution strategies can be targeted for future partnership opportunities. The successful candidate will not have to code or “speak tech” but they will have a strong grasp of current technology and the online world.

As the Distribution Compliance Manager, you will:
Keep abreast of industry trends (i.e. federal/state legislation, privacy policies, EULA’s, client policies)
Work with partners (from the internet search space) to understand ongoing monitoring criteria and proactively report distribution partner activities
Conduct audits: prospective partners, current & new versions of partner applications, spot check existing applications
Provide information to executives & decision makers to ensure compliance
Act as liaison with Legal department to keep policies current
Direct relationship with partners, sales and account management
Travel approximately 15%
Skills & Requirements
Experience with at least one of the following areas: online advertising/publishing, internet technology, online search/search engines, e-commerce, user investigation (fraud, risk or trust), internet policy enforcement, online payment platforms
Strong analytical and problem solving skills; able to document specifications, organize material, analyze a wide variety of facts and develop appropriate recommendations
Ability to rapidly understand and learn new technical ideas
Solid experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment necessary
Excellent self-management and multi-tasking skills: must be able to work independently in a team oriented environment and complete projects on time
Solid presentation and written communication skills required
Minimum 3 years of experience managing client relationships, account management or other customer relations position
