The Distribution Finance Analyst is a member of the Distribution Finance group supporting the Central and Regional Finance teams. You will process weekly point-of-sale and claims data, ensure distributor inventory is reconciled to Micron’s system of record for accurate revenue recognition and ship and debit transactions, participate in the AR and Revenue Accounting fiscal close processes in relation to distribution operations. You will communicate with distributors to research and resolve issues and coordinate projects. You will support, coordinate, and perform physical audits of distributors’ inventory and reconcile discrepancies. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Coordinate with the US Distributors to receive and process weekly point-of-sale (POS), claims, and inventory and partner with Distributors and Sales Operations to reconcile and resolve POS and claims issues to ensure proper revenue recognition
• Reconcile between Micron calculated inventory and Distributor reported inventory, perform backend audits, and investigate and resolve material discrepancies
• Act as the primary liaison between the Revenue Accounting team and Micron’s US Distributors
• Participate in AR and Revenue Accounting fiscal close processes in relation to distribution operations
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) relating to revenue and accounts receivable activities
• Partner with Channel Sales and Global Distribution Finance related to proper asset/inventory management
• Support and coordinate the global Distribution Finance team in performing distributor physical audits, inventory reconciliations, and book to book audits
• Support external and internal audit requests related to global distribution
• Lead or participate in the development of process improvement initiatives


• Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting required

Work Performance & Industry Knowledge
• A minimum of 1-3 years Finance/Accounting experience
• Performs well in both structured processes and can problem solve ambiguous issues
• High degree of attention to detail
• Superb organizational skills and able to multi-task
• Effective written/ verbal communication skills and customer orientation
• Experience supporting a ship and debit model for Distribution in the semiconductor industry is a plus
• Ability to manage projects independently
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to travel occasionally

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong information systems knowledge
• SAP experience (Preferred)
• Experience using Model N (Preferred)
• Business Intelligence reporting experience (Preferred)
