DESCRIPTION

This position encompasses the day to day management of the Distribution Account Representatives and Customer Service Representative's and facilitation of Distribution Sales and customer service. It also includes the daily supervision of personnel within the distribution department. Responsibilities include personnel training, employee evaluations and disciplinary action as needed. Responsibilities also include overseeing department standard operating procedures, various reporting and regular documentation & communications with upper management. Organization for the purpose of increasing sales is essential.

DUTIES

Daily: The following are tasks needing worked on, reviewed and/or completed on a daily basis. These are considered priority responsibilities
  • Document employee performance
  • Uphold company and department policy & culture
  • Create and maintain department SOP's, process documentation and procedures
  • Facilitate dept. vision set by Director of Distribution to the sales team
  • Review and manage departmental overtime, complete OT reports (with Distribution sales lead)
  • Back up Account Reps. as needed
  • Manage route sales deadlines and minimum orders
  • Facilitate daily sales team meetings (10 minutes)
  • Overall supervision of staff ensuring completion of their required duties according to their job descriptions
  • Run daily sales reports for dept. benchmarks
Weekly: Tasks needing worked on, reviewed and/or completed on a weekly basis.
  • Meet regularly with account reps. to track progress and cover concerns
  • Complete weekly report for supervisor
  • Approve labor time of employees into ADP for payroll
  • Facilitate the backup calls for Natural Products Sales as needed - with distribution team
  • Backup the supervision of the Factory Store as needed
  • Meet weekly with Director of Distribution to review department
  • Reporting, (no charge shipping, sales ratios, product placement, etc.)
  • Collect and review account reps weekly reports and provide feedback
  • Manage the dept. schedule in order to provide adequate coverage during business hours
  • Facilitate weekly sales team meeting
Monthly: Tasks needing worked on, reviewed and/or completed on a monthly basis.
  • Write and administer employee performance evaluations on time
  • Keep New Employee Training Manual updated
  • Analyze dept. manpower and communicate dept. staffing needs to Director of Distribution.
  • Meet with NPS Customer Service Supervisor for the purpose of maintaining consistent communications and processes between the two divisions.
  • Cross train for all positions within the department
  • Attend and participate in monthly supervisors meetings
  • Facilitate monthly sales team meeting
General: Tasks needing worked on, reviewed and/or completed as needed
  • Develop and maintain customer service standards
  • Train and mentor Distribution Sales personnel
  • Assist in interviewing new personnel for the department
  • Meet with dept. supervisors as needed to resolve issues and write process. (Distribution, Warehouse, QA, Operations, HR, Buyers, etc.)
  • Build customer relations as the Supervisor of the department
  • Communicate with Broker and Vendors as needed
  • Manage difficult account relationships with account rep
  • Travel to accounts as needed for sales and/or service needs
  • Educate staff on products and how they are used
  • Maintain quality standards required by customers through QA Department
  • Communicate with internal departments related to sales and working as a team
  • Lift 50 pounds as needed
  • Quarterly meeting with President and Director of Distribution
  • Complete general tasks as assigned.
  • Run company errands as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Determined, outgoing, and self-motivated
  • Extensive customer service background and skills
  • Experience at training current and new employees.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks while working in an fast paced environment
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Possesses strong people skills
  • Prior inside sales experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in resolving problem with customers and staff.
  • High School graduate with 5 + years experience in sales and/or management
  • Bachelor's degree is favorable
  • Positive motivational skills
