SCOPE OF POSITION:
As a member of the Distribution team, the Distribution Supervisor will lead warehouse development programs from concept to commercialization. Responsible for the daily supervision of the freezer packaging associates, including hiring, training and development, assessment and motivation of associates. Includes conducting annual performance reviews and establishment of measurable objectives for associates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintaining and communicating information of freezer packaging operations at staff meetings, which are held daily and/or weekly.
Evaluates priorities and strategies to meet the mission and vision and supports the values of Birds Eye Foods, Inc.
Responsible for Dry and Frozen Warehouse supplies and inventory control, which includes but is not limited to product..
In collaboration with other senior managers, assesses, plans, develops, implements, leads and participates in continuous improvement efforts throughout the freezer packaging operations. Constantly seeking new and innovative means for improving quality and profitability.
Analyze, develop, implement, and communicate department and team goals.
Responsible for facility security and implementation to associates, customers, contractors, and product.
Maintaining knowledge of customer’s business to help determine opportunities for improvement, including the areas of the customer’s organization.
Maintaining customer satisfaction and shaping expectations.
Ensures the safety of all associates and complies with OSHA Regulations and Standards.
Developing short and long range plans for budget and Capitol Projects in maintaining upkeep and repairs of freezer packaging facility buildings and equipment.
Constantly seeking new and innovative means for improving quality and profitability
Implements and maintains quality improvement plans, policies, procedures, which are endorsed by facility and corporate related to quality management.

Supervise distribution hourly and salaried employees at the Darien facility.

SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES: .

Position requires good communication and technical skills and attention to detail.

Strong technical and theoretical knowledge of logistics and shipping and receiving

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two to three years in a food processing environment.
Fresh Pack experiences preferred.
Ability to work as part of a large team, in a team environment.
Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION:
Associates degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
