Glacier Water Services Inc., designs, distributes, and operates over 23,000 water, ice and specialty beverage vending machines across North America. Glacier also provides store use water systems for many retailers allowing them to use the highest quality water in their store processes.
The District Manager is responsible for OPERATIONAL ACTIVITY of assigned District. This manager will be based in Corona, CA.
Supervises the activities of Service Technicians and Utility Technicians in assigned district, including conducting routine inspections of assigned water vending machines to ensure that all scheduled service and maintenance is performed in accordance with Glaciers quality standards.
Ensures that all cash collected is secured and that all meter readings are recorded and transmitted or reported on a daily basis for all scheduled machines.
Manages the District in accordance to established budget by conducting routine analysis of overtime trend reports, service call ratios, inventory usage, etc. Promotes an environment of continuous improvement and cost-effectiveness.
Assist Recruiter in selecting associates that positively reflect the Companys values.
Promotes a favorable team environment and invites a positive flow and exchange of communication and ideas from all associates serves as a coach and provides the necessary counseling to turn substandard performance around; recommends terminations when necessary. Ensures that all associates are evaluated on time.
Conducts regular audits of fleet condition and ensures that all drivers maintain a valid driving record.
Conducts routine and periodic inventory of companys assets assigned to district (i.e., parts, supplies, vehicles, machines, etc.).
Interacts with Glaciers clients and customers as required in a professional and courteous manner. Promotes the Companys appearance standards and ensures that all direct reports adhere to same and are in proper uniform.
High School Diploma or GED. College degree highly desirable or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum five years experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a service-oriented retail industry environment. Experience may be substituted for a minimum of three years of a proven track record of satisfactory work performance in a progression of internal field functions, coupled with ability to lead and direct others.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to provide clear and concise information and direction to direct reports. Good persuasive skills to lead and motivate team.
Mechanical aptitude required with familiarity with electrical and plumbing. Will be required to work with Microsoft Office products (i.e., Excel and Word) to prepare and analyze the necessary field activity reports.
Must satisfactorily complete and/or pass a background screen, which includes a drug and alcohol test and a criminal check. Must possess a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record, which contains no more than two moving violations within the past 3-5 years and no drinking under the influence (DUI) convictions in the past 7 years.
May be required overnight travel and occasional extended stays in order to properly manage and cover entire district.
