About the District Sales Associate Role

The Climate Corporation seeks driven and entrepreneurial District Sales Associates (DSAs) to support the sales efforts of District Sales Managers within their respective regions. They will help to revolutionize production agriculture risk management in key growing regions nationwide.

DSAs will assist in the development of local, independent insurance agents, including agency recruiting, agency training, and overall agency success. The position requires intensive interaction with the District Sales Managers of their region to help grow their client portfolio.

Responsibilities:
Support the regional sales activities with the goal of gaining new accounts and driving revenue.
Help identify, recruit, and qualify the best agents in their region.
Be a point of contact for agent questions, training, and education.
Conduct sales presentations to agents and growers on The Climate Corporation's TWI.
Participate in new internal sales recruiting, training, and mentoring.
Requirements:
Knowledge of production agriculture, especially corn, soybean and wheat production - must be credible in front of growers.
2+ years work experience within an ag related company or organization.
Willingness to learn value based selling and communication of TWI’s value proposition.
Interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills as well as the enthusiasm to champion a new product.
Must be willing to enroll in the P&C insurance licensing program after employment begins.
Ability to travel during key selling periods. Requires working from home when not in the field.
Computer and Internet knowledge; experience with Salesforce.com, GoToMeeting, and Gmail, or the ability to quickly learn these applications.
Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Agri-Business, Ag Economics or Agronomy.
