For this exciting field sales role, you'll work within the Seeds and Traits organization of Monsanto. We are currently recruiting for a District Sales Manager with Stewart Seeds in the Southwest Ohio territory.

You'll achieve success as a District Sales Manager by meeting business goals and working closely with sales management to achieve long-term growth within your district. As a leading agricultural technology company, we'll give you the opportunity to contribute to corn and soybean sales growth, enriching our product mix and increasing contribution to profit. With new opportunities emerging each day in this exciting industry, you'll also build new grower relationships in your territory and work to strategize market development. This will also give you the opportunity to manage district requirements, including product stewardship, and complete and execute a district market plan aligned with our company objectives.

Work within your assigned sales territory, which may include specific current growers

Demonstrate High Impact Selling process and skills over time and in different situations to achieve the sale and increase order size

Work with the sales team, sales management, agronomists and customer service representatives in order to earn the number one position with growers

Success will be measured on sales volumes, territory contribution to profit, corn trait mix, grower satisfaction, new grower acquisition and grower retention

Manage your district in accordance with company policies, which include being safe in all aspects of the position, working with the utmost integrity and conducting business in an ethical manner

Understand customer needs and develop long-term and trusting relationships with customers

Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of business systems and operations including SGA, GP, EBIT, resource allocation beyond the sales function

Consistently demonstrate constructive leadership in representing the Brand and Monsanto beyond the Brand

Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or related work experience

A minimum of two years of sales experience

Agriculture knowledge is beneficial

Strong oral, written and presentation skills

Demonstrated leadership skills

Time and territory management abilities

Proven problem solver

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

Ability to attend and fully participate in national, regional and team meetings with the possibility of an overnight stay

Ability to travel daily up to 80% where you'll meet with customers, using the remaining time for planning, preparation and training

Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds (equivalent to a bag of seed)

Ability to pass a driving record background check (i.e. moving violations, accidents, license suspension, etc.).
