Job Description: The CV and Specialty Care DSM will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of sales representatives who will call upon Allergists, Pediatricians, Cardiologists (both Medical Cardiologists and Electrophysiologists), as well as additional customers, key players and decision makers both within and outside of the hospital setting. CV and Specialty Care DSMs are expected to possess a high level of product and customer knowledge, as well as an entrepreneurial drive and spirit to lead their teams in expanding, growing and owning their business.
Teaching, training and coaching sales professionals regarding products and safe driving skills and behaviors.
Planning, budgeting, analysis, and administration. Organizing, planning, and conducting, as well as attending various sales and sales management meetings.
Job performance reviews and development of team members.
Recruiting and staffing.
Maintaining a safe driving record.
Must have at least 18 months tenure with sanofi-aventis and a minimum of 12 months in current position, unless otherwise approved by first/second level manager and HR. Must also have approval of current RSD to post.
Requirements: BA/BS from an accredited school required. Focus in business or life science preferred.
Minimum of 3 years successful experience as a pharmaceutical sales representative, including 2 years of hospital sales experience preferred, as well as management experience.
Allergy, Cardiovascular or 9other Specialist therapeutic experience desired
DSM experience required.
Driving a company car in a safe manner to daily meetings and appointments is required
Strong leadership and team building skills, as well as excellent communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and must demonstrate sound judgment and decision making ability.
Broad knowledge of principles and methods in a recognized professional field, or working knowledge of multiple fields.
Proactively shares ideas and solutions to business issues
Demonstrates accountability and quickly implements corrective actions
