We are currently seeking a District and School Improvement Associate to support our development and field staff with the development of tools and resources for district and school improvement projects. This postion will also organize professional development materials and assist with coordinating professional development sessions with clients and conduct data collection activities for audit projects. This position will be located in either our Naperville, IL or Chicago, IL offices.

Responsibilities:

• With guidance, develop tools, resources, and presentations for district and school improvement projects
• Coordinate and conduct field-, district-, and/or school-level data collection activities including interviews, structured observations, focus groups, and collection of specified documents
• Organize and schedule data collection activities such as site visits
• Conduct and annotate literature reviews and research for other products
• Assist with preparing study reports, documents, and briefs
• Create spreadsheets and other project-related documentation and deliverables
• Synthesize research and write content for websites or other types of media
• Develop project communication plans and communication materials for both internal and external audiences
• Identify and lead others in using organizational resources, tools, methodologies, and processes that enable knowledge sharing
• Distribute surveys or other materials to respondents per direction from project manager
• Clearly communicating knowledge of the project purpose and objectives to clients when necessary, and represent AIR in a professional manner
• Apply knowledge of AIR products and services when interacting with clients
• With direct guidance, assist with writing sections of proposals and/or grants
• Support team in accessing and using appropriate methodology templates and tools

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education-related field required
• Minimum of
1–3 years of experience working in an educational setting • Demonstrated knowledge and experience related to basic research techniques in Grades K–12 education preferred
• Ability to work well both independently and on project teams
• Strong written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
• Strong verbal communication skills and client service orientation
• Available to travel locally and nationally
