Diversity & Inclusion Manager

We are searching for a Diversity and Inclusion Manager to join our Global Leadership, Organizational Development and Diversity team. This role is uniquely positioned for a change agent who has the passion for building an inclusive culture through innovation, courage and empathy. This role is not a traditional D&I role, and as such we are searching for a candidate who has demonstrated high degrees of learning agility by taking on challenging and varied roles within a corporate environment and who has delivered strong results as evident by being a sought after business partner to employees at all levels.
Reporting into the Director of Diversity and Inclusion, this role will engage in leadership, influence and execution from the first day on the job. Partnering with the Leadership, Organizational Development and Diversity team members, this role will drive diversity and inclusion initiatives by applying tools, processes and skill sets globally.
What are the key responsibilities of this role?
' Demonstrate respect for the unique traits, backgrounds, perspectives and experiences of our employees.
' Create, drive and communicate initiatives that break down barriers, shatter glass ceilings and empower employees at all levels.
' Consult with the organizations business unit leaders to provide direction on developing and integrating Diversity & Inclusion into existing business processes and practices.
' Provide strategic and tactical support to aid in further developing and maintaining a fully inclusive and diverse organization that is tightly aligned to business strategy and is a key business imperative.
' Drive the understanding and case for change within our employees to support diversity and inclusion efforts.
' Create synergies between diversity and inclusion initiatives and other aspects of workforce strategies ' talent acquisition, talent assessment, talent management, rewards, learning and development.
' Develop strategic relationships with external vendors and organizations to attract diverse talent to bring a wider spectrum of perspectives to our business.
' Courageously exercise sound decision making, responsibility, integrity, and creativity through proactive coaching to employees and leaders.
' Collaborate with key leaders to develop and roll-out strategic internal inclusion programs, partner with employee resource groups, and engage external partners for other project and event management.
' Operate daily from a place of empathy for our employees and the work they do at Heinz, in their communities and at home.
' Partner with HR Business Partners and their specific client needs for imbedding Diversity & Inclusion into existing business practices.
' Conduct focus groups, discussion forums, training and awareness activities in support of Diversity & Inclusion programs.
' Identify organizations and associations at the local and national levels to help build and sustain relationships that are mutually beneficial to both the community and the company.
What are the key requirements to be successful in this role?
' Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or PhD preferred
' Minimum of five years professional experience required in a position type that influences change such as communications, business management, development, consulting, etc. with demonstrated career progression in varied and non-traditional roles.
' Ability to travel globally 25% of the time.
' Experience in training and coaching top leaders on skills and capabilities related to communications.
' Project management experience including chartering, budget planning, resource allocation, timeline management and issue resolution.
' Proven experience leading a change or transformation initiative.
' Excellent oral and written communication skills
' Experience working with individuals at all levels of the organization and in directly influencing the upper most levels of the organization.
' Skilled at influencing without authority cross-functionally to achieve corporate objectives.
' Proven capabilities and sensitivity in working with confidential information/materials.
' Demonstrated success in developing relationships with leaders with strong influence and coaching skills, as well as polished executive presence.
