Directs the development, implementation, and administration of all business management functions for a university division, including financial management, reporting and budgeting; processing, and control of expenditures. Manages payroll and personnel and serves as the principal general staff resource to the division vice president.
Prepares and directs the divisional budget, ensuring implementation of internal control policies and procedures as required to support cash/revenue collection, inventory control, accounting requirements, and financial reporting.
Develops and directs policies and procedures and scheduling of the division’s annual budgetary process; serves at the primary advisory to the division vice president in finalization of budgets.
Serves as personnel officer for the division and as liaison with the Human Resources Department by directing personnel requests, reclassification’s, and promotion and new hire recommendations; administers the performance evaluation process for the division.
Plans, organizes and develops methods for researching management issues, and provides recommendations to assist the division vice president in planning and decision making.
Interprets and disseminates information regarding university policy and procedure; develops, administers and manages divisional policies and procedures.
Serves on university committees and collaborates in the research and development of university policies.
Compiles and presents reports and analyses of a varied and complex nature related to management and fiscal affairs.
Provides administrative assistance for campus-wide special projects, such as disbursing funds, monitoring fund uses, preparing and compiling financial reports, staffing, purchasing, etc.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.
