The candidate must be a strong leader, extremely well organized, analytical, detail-oriented and quality-minded. They will be responsible for building and leading an enterprise-wide strategy for CTU to address and support specific industry talent development needs and skilled workforce shortages, building the strategic framework for Colorado Technical University to support the talent development initiatives of select national industry associations, and building partnerships with national industry associations that focus on talent development and support efforts to improve their industries' workforces by. A successful candidate will support the vision and direction of CTU’s Educational Alliance team and will report to the Chief Academic Officer.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Support Educational Alliances’ mission through industry association partnerships, career-focused educational offerings, and event collaboration.

Partners with Academics to strengthen curriculum to meet industry standards. And consults with Academics to develop programs that meet industry needs.

Acts as a liaison between CTU academics and industry/corporate leadership

Responsible for executing industry knowledge transfer to CTU’s Educational Alliances team.

Broker thought leadership opportunities for CTU academic leadership, marketing and Educational Alliances.

Together with Academic Affairs, build industry advisory councils for the purpose of developing new curriculum and to verify and ratify existing or proposed curriculum.

Develop a curriculum review process, indicating the various stakeholders and criteria for inputs.

Identify the industries and careers with skilled workforce shortages and identify appropriate industry partners for advisory and collaboration.

Advise the CTU Academic Team on in-demand skills that support national talent development leaders’ needs.

Build a full business-to-business marketing strategy incorporating the various and relevant CTU functional areas; to include conference, tradeshow and event strategy.

Identify thought leadership opportunities for CTU

Consult with other CEC institutions regarding alliance opportunities, as appropriate

Competency – Functional/Technical Skills

Extensive experience building and managing high-level B2B and industry strategy in the Higher Education market

A solid understanding of key business to business marketing trends, coupled with 15+ years Business to Business (B2B) marketing and sales experience

Experience presenting to C-level contacts, both internally and externally

Highly competent in leveraging Salesforce.com CRM to improve sales performance

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Extensive experience interacting with C – level executives. Is skilled at dealing with senior managers, can present without undue tension, can craft approaches likely to be seen as appropriate and positive.

Required Experience

Bachelor’s Degree and 15+ years of successful track record in Sales Leadership, Operations, and Marketing. MBA preferred.
