The Document Control Specialist plays a critical role in the collection, maintenance, and distribution of all documents necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes that insure conformance to product requirements. This role will use and maintain existing Arena BOMControl databases and processes, as well as improve or develop new processes. In addition, the Document Control Specialist will participate in the creation, review, or editing of documentation, such as drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

Position Responsibilities

Ensure all required specifications/documentation, materials, equipment; procedures are in place for all production launches

Collect and maintain files of the latest revision level documentation necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes.

Timely distribution of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution.

Maintain an online computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents, such as:

Engineering Drawings

Engineering Standards

CAD Data

Inspection Instructions

Test Procedures

Work Instructions

Operations Sheets

Quality Manuals

Material Specifications

Perform clerical typing duties to generate documents as necessary.

Ensure Implementation of ECO (Engineering Change Orders) within the company and with manufacturing partners to account for all changes

Support engineering in developing product and process documentation.

Work with Suppliers, Engineering and Material Planning to release parts into production.

Drive continuous improvement on all relevant operational processes.

Position Qualifications

Direct experience with Document Control processes, methods, and software. Knowledge of product development processes, product definition, and manufacturing documentation requirements.

AA Degree or 5 years relevant experience.

Fluent in English

Technical Skills:
Excellent in all office programs (word, excel, power point etc.)
