Understand and analyze processes
Document processes visually
Prepare end-to-end workflow of processes and identify

Handoffs
Dependencies with other departments
Re-work loops
Capture and embed basic process performance metrics such as Lead time
Cycle time

Inventory
Technical writing o Gain subject matter expertise to understand processes at an overall and detailed level
Use appropriate interviewing and listening skills to capture the necessary information, and ask appropriate questions
Follow process mapping guidelines to create an accurate and up-to date visual process map
Process improvement o Identify any process inefficiencies by reviewing process performance metrics and current-state process maps
Analyze work-flow and identify any bottle-necks in the process
Client management o Develop and manage positive client relationships at all levels
Manage difficult conversations and expectations at client site
