Licenses/Certification: Associate or Bachelors degree in Business or Office Management preferred; equivalent combination of experience and education accepted. punctuation, clarity and consistency with formatting and styles Three to five years experience in creating and maintaining business and technical documents including newsletters, announcements and web pages Three to five years experience in general business environment, with exposure to office machines and general business etiquette.
Desired Skills: Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including proofreading, grammar and editing, are required Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is required Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat is preferred; experience in HTML, PhotoShop, Camtasia and/or Articulate is preferred.
Description: This position is responsible to ensure that both internal and client-facing documents meet company standards and are professional in appearance and language. The Documentation Specialist will review documents for grammar, spelling, formatting and style based on approved template and company standards.
Ensure that all documents, including but not limited to software user manuals, release notes, newsletters and announcements, are reviewed for spelling, punctuation, and syntax, and to improve readability and maintain clarity and consistency.
Ensure the timely preparation and distribution of announcements regarding software or rate specific information for the employers software products.
Ensure the timely preparation, maintenance and distribution of process manuals, procedure documents, newsletters and conference/meeting materials, including PowerPoint presentations and handout materials.
Ensure that documents requiring specific security to prevent change or duplication are adequately protected through the use of appropriate tools.
Ensure that department web pages on company Intranet and Client Support website are maintained in a timely manner and present accurate information and links in a professional and visually appropriate manner.
Ensure that documents requiring mass distribution with personalization for the addressee are efficiently produced and distributed through the use of mail mergers. This may include documents, envelopes, mailing labels, name tags, etc.
