This is a junior-level, technical and analytical position located in the Catapult Headquarters. The incumbent reports to the Program Management Resource Tool (PMRT) Team Leader (TL).

Responsibilities

The incumbent functions as a working member of the PMRT Team. The incumbent is primarily responsible for the drafting, modification, organization and submission of a variety of support documents supporting the development of the PMRT and associated USMC Business Processes. Additionally, the incumbent works in an analytical capacity, as part of a team, reviewing and modifying large amounts of fiscal data; ensuring correct format and accurate content. Work includes analyzing and defining PMRT data requirements; ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of data sources; analyzing and planning for anticipated changes in PMRT data requirements; developing and administering PMRT data standards, policies, and procedures; defining PMRT data flow and developing data flow diagrams; and developing and interpreting PMRT reports.

Minimum Qualifications

a. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Good communications skills are important; as there will be considerable interaction with USMC and PMRT Program Managers, technicians, and functional users; as well as the preparation of PMRT program/system documentation, data dictionaries and other written communications and guidance.
b. Familiarity with major operating characteristics of IT equipment and software with emphasis on the Microsoft Office suite of products, including MS Word, MS Project, MS Outlook and MS Sharepoint.
c. Knowledge of database operation, methods, practices, and tools of data management.
d. Analytical Skills: Ability to identify and correct basic financial data trend errors.
e. Knowledge of sources, characteristics and uses of USMC data assets to ensure data outputs are accurate.
f. Ability to create and manage sharepoint document library(s) highly desirable, but not required.

Abilities Required:
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel while typing at a computer keyboard.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, or lift objects up to 10 pounds.
  • The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The vision requirements include: close vision.
