Assists Donations Coordinator in picking up and unloading donated items at resale retail location, including furniture and appliances. Assists in store as needed with sorting, pricing and at register.
Reviews price changes and sales items, sorts, tags, separates, organizes and hangs donated items.
Changes air/heat filter for the store once a month.
Answers phone calls and takes messages, assists in store as needed and helps with daily closing and clean up.
Helps customers load furniture, helps with donor donations and issues tax receipts.
Performs cash register operations to include recording prices, subtotaling, collecting cash, checks or chargers from customers and making change.
Assists in training new volunteers as needed.
Prepares store for opening by insuring that store is clean and orderly.Informs manager of needed supplies in store and donations area.
High school diploma/GED required. Must be able to communicate in the English language, both in written and oral form. Valid Texas Driver’s License required. Must provide proof of automobile liability insurance and have a clean motor vehicle record. Must be able to frequently lift between 80-150 pounds and carry up to 100 pounds.
