As our Part - TimeDonor Relations Specialist you will establish and maintain donor relationships through phone calls, written correspondence and face-to-face meetings, especially with regards to special events. You will perform donor stewardship, respond to donor inquiries and keep accurate updated records of all donations and files. Additionally, you will engage donors appropriately through making calls of gratitude, follow up, condolence, education, invitation, marketing, etc. As our Donor Relations Specialist you will direct all planning and implementation of special events, which includes: identifying vendors, negotiating contracts, creating event invitations, guest lists and the overall event production schedule. Having strong service orientation and commitment to working with donors enthusiastically and professionally is essential to this role.
To be considered for this unique opportunity you will need:
A two year college degree or technical college degree; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis on Word and Excel,) as well as experience utilizing Fund Raising database management programs (Raiser’s Edge experience is preferred)
Strong service orientation and commitment to assisting donors with enthusiasm and professionalism
An excellent command of the language arts in areas such as grammar, spelling, etc.
Ability and desire to engage in conversations with donors via the phone and written correspondence
Strong organizational skills and to be highly detail oriented
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
