Product design for increased Latin America business. Prepares a variety of uncomplicated layouts and complex detail drawings of parts, assemblies and schematics. Previously prepared designs, verbal instructions, sketches and associated material are used to obtain dimensions and scale.
Setup/revise BOM and work with Sr engineering team to standardize SAP engineering database
Write/revise engineering procedures and documents
Prepares simple scale layout drawings to verify mechanical design feasibility, applicability of tooling, fixtures and other related production equipment and techniques.
Identifies areas of product or process cost improvement.
Performs mathematical calculations required to verify dimensions, clearances and other criteria.
Explains procedures and approaches to others in the same or lesser classification. Reviews his/her work and work of others for accuracy and adequacy of detail.
Primary administrator for Cameron’s storage database Autodesk Vault.
Job Requirements/ Qualifications
A comprehensive awareness of drafting techniques along with a thorough knowledge of geometric dimensioning / tolerance standards, in-house engineering practices and procedures are required. Familiarity with the product line and strong CAD proficiency are a must.
AAS Degree in a technical field with mechanical drafting courses and/or two (2) or more years drafting within the Company or similar industry. The incumbent must be responsible and have accurate and clear communication skills with a leadership aptitude.
