Koch Pipeline Company, L.P. (KPL) is seeking a qualified Drafter to work in Wichita, KS. Qualified candidates must be able to make sound economic decisions, ensure incident prevention, drive predictable execution and achieve competitive results. Successful candidates must also understand and comply with all Federal, state, and company laws and regulations.

Responsibilities Include:
Will create, update, and maintain station CADWorx models to update piping, P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram), and mechanical drawings for As-built record

Provide input as a member of the KPL technical drawing guideline team

Provide accurate and easily accessible station and terminal drawings for all KPL employees

Will be accountable for ensuring KPL’s drawings are audit ready by reviewing for accuracy and ensuring they are accounted for

Create and provide training to field operations personnel to red-line changes to existing electrical and mechanical drawings

Work Experience, Skills, and Education Required

Experience with Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD)

Ability to build drawings from scratch using AutoCAD

Ability to finish drawings with minimal guidance using drafting techniques

Ability to work with a team as well as independently

Must be able to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, piping, and instrumentation drawings

Demonstrated attention to detail and problem solving capabilities

Demonstrated strong communication skills and attention to details

Two year Associate of Science Degree or Two year Technical Degree

Work Experience, Skills and Education Preferred

Entry-level college graduates are encouraged to apply

Previous experience with CADworx model creation and population of residual drawings (General Arrangement, Isometric, and P&IDs)

Previous experience with site walk downs to update Electrical and Mechanical drawings

Other Considerations

Frequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions equipment

Frequently works in hot, cold, or inclement climate conditions

Travel up to 40% for the first year, 15% thereafter

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
