Position Details

American Family Insurance has been protecting the dreams of our customers for over 84 years. With the launch of our new brand positioning, we are engaging customers and changing the conversation about insurance. As an extension of the dreams campaign, American Family is launching a flagship store on the Capitol Square in downtown Madison to showcase the best our brand has to offer. The Dream Curator Internship with help facilitates the customer journey through the brand exploration space dialoguing and engaging with customers about their dreams and the path to fulfill their dreams. This internship assists with planning and execution of events held in the store and provides operational support to ensure store presentation meets objectives.

Preferred candidates would be majoring in Marketing, Advertising, and/or Communication Studies.

Position Objective
Working in an internship position under the direction of a senior level employee, completes projects or tasks that support the business area goals and results. Performs tasks by adapting to new or changing situations in a team environment. Gathers information, plans and organizes work efficiently and effectively. Applies and learns technical skills appropriate to the specific job assignment.

Primary Accountabilities

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements
  • Must be in pursuit of a master's, bachelor's or associate degree or certificate program that is related to the internship.
Working Conditions
  • This position requires the ability to work in loud noise (examples: metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment).
  • This position requires the ability to work in very loud noise (examples: jack hammer work, front row at a rock concert).
