The Drilling Supervisor may be responsible for:
Providing onsite drilling supervision on exploratory and subsequent development wells

Overall safety and environmental aspects of the operations

Ensuring local regulations are strictly complied with at all times

Developing a plan for the successful and efficient implementation of the Drilling program to optimize operations

Reacting to and controlling any situation regarding the rig and personnel onboard

Maintaining good communication between office and rig

Coordinating, supervising, and critiquing service company activities

Providing office based operational support as required

Reviewing and optimizing drilling programs/procedures

Assisting in preparation of drilling documentation/manuals

Participating in emergency preparedness and permitting activities

Working with ML&S (Material Logistics & Services) group as required


Legally authorized to work in the United States

Knowledge of drilling operations

Knowledge of under balanced, air, nitrogen, and horizontal drilling a plus

Strong influencing skills with the ability to work in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment

Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and engineering application software

Good teamwork skills with both drilling and non-drilling disciplines

Well developed planning and organizing skills

Excellent communication skills

Sound business judgment and an innovative problem solver

Self-starter requiring little to no direct guidance
