DESCRIPTION
Operates the mobile medical unit on designated routes throughout the service area.
DUTIES
Performs pre-trip inspections to prepare the vehicle for travel.
Performs site preparation procedures to set up the vehicle for operation upon arrival at destination.
Performs vehicle shut down procedures upon returning to base.
Performs cold weather storage procedures.
Performs fueling and refueling of the van before and after events.
Responsible for communicating any maintenance needs to Program Manager or other designee.
Communicates with Program Manager or other designee to confirm changes, additions, or deletions from route schedule.
Assists with basic cleaning of the unit(s) including: emptying the trash, sweeping the floor, and wiping down surfaces.
Performs other set up or break down duties to assist staff.
Patient contact, but with no provision of direct medical patient care. Patients include all ages and cultures.
Patient contact- Assists with registration, data collection reports, and supply inventory. Assists patients in and out of van, when and as needed.
Must be willing and able to perform physically demanding work outdoors, in all types of weather conditions.
Required to sit for prolonged periods of time.
Requires superior detail orientation, and superior communication skills. Works with, and reports to the Program Manager.
Performs other associated duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent and a valid Arizona Class B CDL License and a minimum of three years driving experience.
Must have excellent driving record.
Must possess strong verbal communication skills, a clear speaking voice and strong customer service skills, including: courtesy, flexibility, sensitivity, and patience.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a customer/patient-focused team environment.
Must be willing and able to perform physically demanding work outdoors, in all types of weather conditions.
Basic Computer skills
