The Driver Manager Trainee will become the point of contact
for a group of drivers for any driver related issues.This
position will be trained to be responsible for
managing all requested off duty time & truck service. The Trainee
will learn to maintain the fleet of trucks that are assigned to
their drivers for necessary planned switches.
The Trainee will be instructed in
being responsible for ensuring an assigned Fleet of
drivers are maintaining all proper satellite communication as well as
all company processes and procedures are being followed.The Driver
Manager Trainee will communicate with Driver Relations Manager
all positive and negative feedback in reference to their fleet to
support driver recognition and/or disciplinary action. The Driver
Manager Trainee will reinforce Safe driving tips with their
assigned fleet of drivers.
The Trainee will learn the following:
1.Review Tractor fleet and communicate with drivers any necessary
2.Review all off duty
requests for drivers and discuss necessary action required with Load
Planner to honor requests.
3.Review required maintenance
for all trucks and discuss with Load Planner necessary action to have
truck serviced on the road or in the Terminal.
4.Work with Inbound/Outbound Planners to maximize drivers
availability Hours of Service
5.Review all Driver off duty
requests for approval/denial- update system and reply to driver
6.The Driver Manager review proper procedures with drivers when
returning rental equipment.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent
interpersonal skills, and be willing to work a flexible schedule.
Previous Transportation experience a plus.
