Education: High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum three (3) years driving experience; possesses and maintains an acceptable driving record.
Other: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Ability to read, write and speak English. Must be able to complete written reports and/or checklists, and verbally communicate and understand verbal and written instructions in English. Must have a valid driver license and any applicable endorsements for the State of employment and the type and size of the vehicle operated; if applicable, pass a Department of Transportation medical examination. Must have a clean driving record. Must have current auto insurance. Must possess knowledge of the rules of the road, and the ability to read and interpret road signs in English. Must be able to understand and adhere to the rules and regulations of State and Federal transportation agencies. Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds. Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related disease. Summary of Major Functions: Operate and maintain company vehicles with a focus on safety and customer service.
