The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and directing a comprehensive environmental health and safety program for both Georgia facilities and New York offices. The position oversees assessments of environmental, health and safety risks throughout the organization and directs and provides EHS program management which ensures compliance with Federal, State and local regulations.

This position is responsible for planning, assessing and implementing safety, regulatory and environmental policies and practices throughout the organization. The EHS Manager’s prime responsibility is to oversee the safety objectives for the entire North American business and lead the company to a higher level of safety performance. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and technical expertise to achieve the facility and corporate goals for environmental, health and safety performance Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and permit requirements Ensuring site OSHA compliance, including all required training, written reports, audits, materials, programs, policies and records retention Be the technical expert on all aspects of safety including: Machine Guarding, Lockout/Tag out, Ergonomics & Manual Material Handling, Powered Industrial Equipment, Hazard Communication, Fire Protection & Prevention Systems/Techniques Lead the continuous improvement of programs related to safety, air, water, wastewater and solid/hazardous waste Develop, review, and revise site safety plans, priorities, risk assessments and ensure actions are taken to mitigate or eliminate risks Lead incident investigations for safety and environmental incidents and management review of all serious incidents Manage all workers’ compensation claims including treatment, interaction with carriers and serve as the company representative Enhancing the EHS culture at the plant level through effective processes and employee involvement including all aspects of the Safety Committees Leads the development, review, and revision of safety and environmental training programs. Train associates on requirements and procedures for EHS compliance Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Safety, Environmental or Occupational Health Sciences Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in the environmental, health & safety field with a preference for manufacturing experience Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Waste Water certification or other safety certification highly desired Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, EPA and state regulations/laws Experience and/or familiarity with OHSAS-18001& ISO-14001 Experience with developing training materials, facilitating training sessions, data collection and analysis, interpreting and reporting Compensation: 70,000 – 90,000 Competitive Relocation
